After a long time...

So, I took a huge break. This was not intentional but it just happened. From me getting my knee operated to me getting busy in a shoot to me falling in again, this was not meant to be intentional. It just happened. But now, I am back in Mumbai (formerly Bombay!). I am back in the chaos which I had left about a couple of months ago. Mid-way, I got ideas to write and I wrote too. But you see, I was too tired to come and put it up on the blog. So now, I am going to post all of those poems and short stories on the blog. Ye :) And then there is this new book of poems- Well yes, I have developed a new stule of poetry which is kind of unusual (and strange), I'll share poems from that book and your reaction is welcome. t's just strange and weird for now. Thats it! So there are more plans (short films, photos, short stories etc) which I would be sharing from now on... So, Dear Readers... welcome to my blog...AGAIN  :)

Parallel End

It was raining that day, Right through the day, Into the night, It was raining that day. It reminded me of Aaji, Of her presence and her stories. As I thought more of her, I thought more of her stories, Of why did they end like the way she wanted them to? Or why did they end to teach us a lesson? Sitting at the window, I thought more of her stories, Of why did the tiger agree to get back to the cage, Of how could the Brahmin speak like a human-being, To that tiger, who had just jumped out of the cage, Of why didn’t the tiger protest? Or may be eat that Brahmin up? Why couldn’t the tiger protest? Aaji was not there to answer my questions, Some questions, stay as questions. With no answers, none whatsoever. Dear Aaji, Rest In Peace.

Dreamy!

When you work so hard, that you don't realise how tired you are. When you don't eat for a long time, and you start losing that feeling of hunger. It is then, that it is all dreamy! When everything moving around you, is at a surreal pace. When you see that people are alive, just because they breathe together. It is then, that it is all dreamy! When you want to SLEEP, but more than that, you want PEACE. A slumber where you know, that there would be no tensions after waking up. Here, reality looks like a dream, a dream, which you are just a part of, a dream, where your actions won't change anything, a dream, where being tired is just a state of mind. It's all dreamy! It's a race, where everyone is running, no winners, no losers, just running! But it was your choice, your decision, you chose to run, you enjoyed it. It is no doubt dreamy, but you are loving it, so DREAM ON...

'Madhushala'...my version

This is Dr. Harivanshrai Bachchan's 'Madhushala'. I picked up 4 poems and composed a tune. Venkatram Vishwanathan played the guitar and I sang it. :) http://snd.sc/AbBfDU

"GOOD DAY!"

Sea waves had never looked so soothing and relaxing to Srinivas. The sun had risen well above the horizon and the sound of the waves hitting the stone structures was loud enough to get Srinivas out of his nap. It had been almost 3 hours and Srinivas was sitting at Nariman Point all alone, waiting for time to pass.   10:30 am was the time when the next train to Hyderabad would leave the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. He had taken the bus to Mumbai last night from Ahmedabad, where his present office was. The bus dropped him in Mumbai early morning, but to kill time, Srinivas decided to sit at his favorite spot in the city: Nariman Point!  It had been a year ago when Srinivas last went home. So here he was, just a couple of hours away from his train to Hyderabad, the train home! This place had some magic. Srinivas felt at peace looking at the unending ocean, with the fresh sun rays falling into his eyes. The breeze which hit him on his face had stories from across many c
